A special object needs special care! As Jack is made from an all-natural material, here are a few tips to help him live a long, healthy life: Use and store indoors only. Avoid prolonged contact with liquids and direct exposure to sunlight. Keep away from high temperatures and damp places. If used for sorting, clean and dry after use. Do not use Jack to store compostable goods. As the use of detergents is not recommended, clean with a damp cloth.

Production

Each piece is one-of-a-kind and carries its own textural variations. Choosing Jack means entering into a pact with nature: a precious object that requires a little care to last. Taking care of it is about cultivating a new art of living, more conscious and closer to the raw material.

FAQ Jack & Jenny Bundles

Questions about sets or customization?

Why choose a pre-configured bundle over individual pieces?

Our bundles are designed to meet the most common storage needs. By choosing a pre-configured set, you benefit from exclusive discounts compared to individual purchases.

Of course, you can always complete your set later with additional Jack modules or Jenny extensions. Use our configurator for custom creations.

Can I change the color of the modules in my bundle?

Bundles are fixed, pre-prepared selections, which is why we can offer discounts on these models. Colors cannot be modified within a set.

If you wish for a specific color mix, we invite you to order Jack & Jenny separately or use our online configurator to create your set piece by piece.

Do I need tools for assembly?

Yes, you will need screwdrivers, a hammer, and a cloth (to protect the wood when using the hammer). Wall mounting screws are included in the kit. An instruction video is available here to guide you.

Is Jenny easy to assemble?

The assembly of Jenny is simple but intentionally tight. To guarantee perfect stability and optimal resistance over time, we chose a snug fit. It is therefore normal to have to exert some force to insert the pieces. Use the floor for support and don't hesitate to ask for help: that is the secret of its sturdiness.

Can Jenny be disassembled?

Yes. You will find instructions and a specific pin in the box to remove the fasteners. However, keep in mind that the primary goal of the kit is to reduce packaging rather than to be frequently disassembled. Since the assembly is tight to maximize robustness, separating the pieces may require some effort.

What is the ideal environment for Jenny?

Avoid very humid areas. As wood is a living material, humidity can affect the precision of the assembly. This is especially important before assembly, as the wood may swell, making the interlocking process more difficult.

What are the elements in my bundle made of?

Jack is an ecological alternative to conventional plastic. It is composed of a 100% bio-based polymer derived from potato starch mixed with low-density cork granules. It is colored with 100% natural pigments. The starch used is not taken from the food or feed supply chain.

Jenny is Swiss Label certified. It is made of solid beech wood from controlled Swiss forests, guaranteeing a short supply chain and sustainable forest management.

Can Jack & Jenny be used outdoors?

No. Due to its entirely natural, biodegradable, and compostable composition, Jack is designed exclusively for indoor use. Prolonged exposure to humidity or weather elements could alter its properties.

What should I expect from a natural material?

Each piece is unique and features its own texture variations. Because it is a "living" material, Jack may evolve slightly over time.

Choosing Jack means accepting a pact with nature: a precious object that requires a little care to last. Taking care of it is about cultivating a new art of living, more conscious and closer to the raw material.

How can I ensure the longevity of my Jack module?

Choosing Jack is choosing a radical alternative to plastic for a better world. Its entirely natural composition (cork & potato starch) means each piece is unique. To help it live a long and healthy life by your side, here is our essential advice:

  • Indoor use only: Jack thrives in dry environments. Avoid humid rooms or extreme temperatures.

  • Sun & Liquid protection: To preserve its texture and color, avoid direct and prolonged exposure to sunlight and any long-term contact with liquids.

  • Waste sorting: If you use Jack for sorting, be sure to clean and dry the module after each use.

  • What to avoid: Do not store organic/wet substances directly inside (it might start to self-compost!) and strictly avoid chemical detergents.

  • Gentle cleaning: A simple damp cloth is all it takes to restore its glow.

What is Jack’s long-term footprint?

Jack is designed to stay with you for a long time. Its strength lies in its circular cycle: if it should ever leave your home, it is fully compostable.

You can take it to a composting center or, better yet, return it to us. We will take care of giving it a second life or recycling it properly.

We are currently setting up a take-back system so that it can be reintegrated into our circular production process. Follow us on social media or visit our News page to stay informed.

Do not discard Jack in nature; check the biodegradable waste channels in your region.

How strong and sturdy is the Jack module?

Despite being made from natural materials (cork & potato starch), Jack is designed to be robust and durable. Its structure allows it to easily support weights up to 8kg.

Why did the Jack & Jenny design win the Red Dot Award and the iF Award?

The iF Award and the Red Dot Award recognize Puzz’le’s innovation in the "Sustainable Design" and "Furniture Design" categories.

The jury praised the ability to create an aesthetic storage system that solves a major ecological challenge: offering a 100% biodegradable alternative to conventional plastic, without compromising on modularity or elegance.
