In the fall of 2016, Festival Images, Montreux-Vevey Tourism, and Summit Foundation (on the occasion of its 15th anniversary) presented TimeAlps, a unique and participatory photography project designed to highlight the beauty of mountain landscapes. Through booths installed on the Vevey lakeside, visitors were invited to use their smartphones to capture the Alps. Digitally assembled, these images formed a collective panorama. Taking the form of a time-lapse (an accelerated animation made from a series of shots), the result was exhibited during the 2016 Festival Images. Spectators discovered a unique, anachronistic, and evolving panoramic view, where the iconic "Fork" planted in the lake suddenly stood alongside the seahorse fountain of the Jardins du Rivage.
